Home care services in Sweden are being modernized, and the pressure on providers to, for example, maximize resources has increased. Tritech has on behalf of Tunstall AB, in order to meet the demands, developed a demo version of a handheld end-to-end solution, which enables registration of visitors and that documentation can be carried out at the client’s home. The programme is part of Tunstall’s product portfolio SMITH.
RFID technology is used to verify that the staff is with the client. The technology enables a positive identification of the person receiving care, while it also is easy to manage for the staff.
The communication via GPRS/3G/TCP-IP makes it possible to send instructions to the staff about the visit at any given time, as well as to register visits as completed within a few minutes instead of at the end of the shift.
The programme also provides information about the persons receiving care that would usually require the staff to carry with them several large folders.
