Tritech’s task was to complete the development of DRM II, which is a newly developed ignition device using radio communication for underground blasting in mines. The radio uses the mine’s own communication network in order to manage the blasting as easy and safe as possible. The ignition devices, which can be as many as 24, are connected to a PC that displays a graphic image of the current situation in the mine.
Besides the design of hardware and software, Tritech is also responsible for that the product is certified according to existing rules and regulations. Tritech also ensures the production of the ignition device.
