Tritech has developed an application for the company Igel Kompaniet’ product RollTalk. RollTalk is a system that makes it easier for people with disabilities to deal with their daily life – from turning off the TV to operating the wheelchair.
The communication solution consists of a radio based star network with a receiver unit and one or several transmitter units. One or several buttons are connected to the transmitters. When a button is pressed, the information is sent to the receiver unit via radio. The receiver unit forwards the information via serial communication to a computer with the software RollTalk. RollTalk interprets the received information and performs the requested action.
The system replaces wires and enables a more flexible placement of the transmitters.
