Tritech has developed two subsystems for the radar warning system in German Tornado aircraft, a control system for dispensing countermeasures and a system for sending different audio signals to the pilot. Tritech has developed the hardware and software in both ARM7 based systems.
In addition, there is a system for monitoring the power supply of the radar warning system. The system is based on an AVR Mega163 processor, and enables a safe shutdown of the subsystems in the aircraft radar warning system if there is a voltage drop.
The systems enable the aircraft to dispense countermeasures during an attack, and signal the pilot using different audio signals in alarm situations.
